Bad Pop-Pop

Last Saturday, my Dad, Doug Papa-Bear Westcott, came to our house and drove all the kids in our van to play mini-golf. While we were riding in the van this morning...

Henry: Mama, I need to tell you something really bad about Pop-Pop. It's about when we went to Putt-Putt.
Me (amused and curious): OK
Henry (reaches into the center console and pulls out a pack of 3 golf balls that Dad must have accidentally left there): This.
Me (chuckling)
Henry: Why is that funny?!?
Me: Well, it's just that the way you said it, it sounded like you were going to tell me something bad that Pop-Pop did, like steal money from Putt-Putt.
Henry (indignant): What? Pop-Pop would never do that! Why would you think Pop-Pop would do that?? Wait, is it against the law to steal money from Putt-Putt?

kids at Putt-Putt this morning. Hubby and big strong son are running
errands to the dump, Goodwill, grocery shopping, new shoes for
aforementioned growing-like-a-weed son, vacuum repar shop, jewelry
